Employee engagement motivational speakers. The Re-Think

When was the last time you had a re-think? About your work, life, rituals and how you do stuff?

Let me share a story.

We’re now a family of 5 - 2 adults, 3 large kids plus a dog. We’ve outgrown our medium sized car.

I’ve spent the last weekend looking at options for new cars.

I noticed two things:

The first thing - 0-60 mph

Every car ad leads with the speed it can go from 0-60 mph.

Ok, so this might be an age thing but I’m not even remotely interested in this.

We’re looking for an electric car and I’m much more interested in how many miles it will go on a single charge.

For some reason, the car industry (and I’m sure the petrol heads will set me straight) seems wedded to the 0-60 thing.

Isn’t it time for a re-think?

A re-think to what really matters and to headline that information?

The second thing - subscription cars

It’s all quite confusing the array of electric, hybrids and so on. Roll in getting your head round tax benefits and there’s a lot of info.

There’s also the thing at the back of your mind as to where the market will be in two years time and how outdated todays car will be.

I loved finding a couple of services where you can take a car on subscription. Hassle free. One payment that covers insurance, tax servicing and you just upgrade when the new car comes out. No worrying about buying or selling a car.

One industry.

One thing elegantly thought through.

One thing stuck in the 1980’s.

Who’s doing the re-think in your world, industry, business, life.

Life moves along pretty rapidly.

What do you need to rethink?
