Bad Leadership Advice?
What’s the worst leadership advice you’ve ever had?
What’s the worst leadership you’ve ever seen?
And why do I ask?
Some time ago I read about the Museum of Failures - a collection of failed products and services from around the world.
I believe holding these up to the light can shine a light on ideas on how to reduce the probability of failing.
Hence, it got me thinking on what’s the worst leadership you’ve ever seen, so that you can do the opposite!
Some starters for 10…
Be the leader who is always right and has all the answers
Lead with an iron fist
Never admit mistakes or weaknesses
Prioritise numbers and make people work to that
Only care about the results today
Micromanage
Don’t show vulnerability or emotions.
Put themselves first ahead of others.
What else would you add to the list?
And moreover, who was the best leader you ever had?
What did they do that few other people did?
