We’ve got a blame culture…
One of the comments that came out in the discussions whilst running a workshop yesterday for 35 leaders across Europe and North America.
Many of us will recognise this and may have worked in teams where this happens. Some may still be there.
You’ve only got two choices:
accept it.
do something about it.
Yes it can be scary, yes it can make you feel vulnerable. Bottom line is that Organisations don’t change until people do.
As this article in Forbes agreed - leaders should start by changing themselves before asking others to.
The single best way to get the behaviours we want in any team is to take the lead and show them yourself.
Tip: Be the change, not the one who bemoans it.
