Do I trust you?

Do I trust you?

In a recent survey published by ATD (Association for Talent Development), 44% of people said their trust in their employer had decreased over the past year.

Given recent debate over the great resignation and the notion that no-one leaves a ship in a storm, this should be something that leaders are paying attention to.

When was the last time you and your team explored the area of trust?

Like so many things, it’s easy to take it for granted that as a team we trust each other.

We’re all shaped by our different experiences and what works for one person may not for the next person.

Would it help to build trust by having a conversation about trust?

And to explore questions like:

  • What do we/ I do that builds trust?

  • What erodes it?

I’d be surprised if you’re not surprised by what comes back.

Trust-building is a skill.

It can happen a bit by accident..

Or it can happen a lot more on purpose.

Achieving your ambitious goals means you need your team firing on all cylinders.

And if you have no trust, frankly you have no team.

Where is active trust-building sit on your likely very full already agenda?
